Hey Everyone, I am going to talk about Weaponry, Concepts, and Edge Combat in this blog. To start with I am going to talk about Renaissance Stilettos. As defined by Wikipedia: "A stiletto is a knife or dagger with a long slender blade and needle-like point, intended primarily as a stabbing weapon." Stilettos were used for a variety of purposes as were most edged weapons, but they were well known for the damage they inflicted and for being able to pierce armor of various types.

Many types of people carried them, Noblemen, Middle Class folks, Peasants, and of course Assassins. The Assassins that used Stilettos were sometimes reported to use versions with hollowed out tips or fullers near the tip of the blade so poison compounds could be utilized. Even women were known to carry them in various forms. A well known version is the 'Bodice Dagger' which could be carried in a variety of ways with a whole lot of fashions. There was also smaller versions that women could even conceal in their bust line for fending off men who were a bit too 'kind' with their 'affections'.

Modern Day versions of the Stiletto are still made and in use today. They were also issued in WWI and WWII to the OSS and SOE Spies that were fighting behind enemy lines. I will touch on the OSS/SOE groups of weaponry at some point soon because anyone who knows me, knows I LOVE that era of weaponry.

Thank you for reading my little Blog, I hope to continue to update it and talk about the subjects mentioned earlier.
