Been awhile, heres some kewl pics. Rare Firearms...

So its been awhile since I last posted in here. I have had ALOT going on but now finally with a few more employees and things picking up, I think I can resume my writings about various weaponry and ordnance from around the world.
This time I want to speak about rare firearms, and there are ALOT of them. for example, the knife guns.
Here's an example of a very well known one, the knuckle duster revolver. I believe the ones below are made by a company called Kucer.

Theyre not as big as you would think, see what I mean?

---
Of course that could be because the above examples are miniatures...but there were companies that made them in full size models in various calibers. The most well known ones, according to wikipedia, were the Apache Revolvers. The Apache Revolvers operated on the Pepperbox revolver style action. Here is a pic of an Apache Revolver from the Curtius Museum. Its gotta be one of the nicest examples I have ever seen.

----
Moving on we have the Pen Guns. I'm sure if you know guys, you know Pen Guns. There are ones that shoot 22LR, 22 magnum, .25 ACP, .380, Flares, even Tear Gas. They were originally marketed by the American Derringer company in Waco Tx. (Ya I know, Waco), but were also made by RJ Braverman, Remcon North Corp, then according to various sources, a company called Stinger popped up in 2002 and revived making the pen gun with the help of Bob Braverman. However, due to various ambiguous reasons, they went out of business roughly 2 years later.
Here are some pcs of the various types of pen guns and styles of manufacture. Some of these pics came from all over the web, some from my own books, and some from fightingknives.info which by the way is a cool site with a great owner. I'm not 100% sure, but I thin he sells some of the products you see on fightingknives.info...not 100% on that though. but his site is definitely worth a good long look.

---
Then you have even more rare guns that are mixed with other items, like Whips for example. Or even a Pepperbox Ring Gun...a mighty small Pepperbox Ring Gun. More research is needed to find out who made these items, but the pics speak for themselves. Here are pics of the Whip Gun, and the Pepperbox Ring Gun...

More rare gun info to come, but for now I have to go. Enjoy and we will see you all again very soon. Thanx for all your emails and comments. Take care and Good night.
ZOMBIE Ordnance...

So today we're gonna rap about a different kind of Weaponry, stuff to take out the Scourge of Humanity. No I'm not talking about the morons we ay to make laws for us...I'm speaking of ZOMBIES!! As we all know, they have to have their brains "taken out" to stop them, so we are gonna look at items, and tools that will do that for you in a very expeditious manner.

Lets get to it...

First up we have the well known and infinitely useful Firemans Axe. They come in many MANY style, materials, colors and even flavors I think. The only choice you have to make is which one or ones you want. I have seen fellas that can dual weild two smaller axes, now thats wicked!!
-----

Above you see another take on the Fire-Ax from another company. It will work just as well for the UNdead Hordes I'm sure.
------

Above is one of my very favorite tools on the market now, the Stanley FUBAR Forceable Entry Tool in 30Inch. It has everything a Zombie Slayer could ask for in a "Warhammer type" tool. AND it can be used to help you acquire supplies that may be locked up, bash your way thru a wall you cant get thru, help you escape a burning building...and of course defend yourself from other Marauders/Jerky Humans who just want to screw you over.
----

Above here you see another option for brain or head removal...the Szabo Sickle made by Szabo Inc. Looks to be a fine tool for the right job. If I was being overrun by the Undead, I wouldnt hesitate to grab one if it was handy.
-----

Above, here we have the GG&G Battle AXE. Of course we all know Axes are never too useful...there is no such thing. :) This one is bit stylized but still fills the role you will need it for in the EOTW. ANd it looks like it works well for extrication too.
----

Anyone who knows badass weapons will know the above Katana right away....its made by Warren Thomas/WT and designed by Joel Pirela. It is 100% Carbon Fiber and Titanium construction, and lighter than any sword of its type available. I love their work...you really cant go wrong, if you can afford it.
----

Above you see the Extrema Ratio version of the Kukri...I gotta say I really like them. They're not the average Kukri by any means, but they do look functional and I would bet they're tough, knowing EX-R's rep. If you prefer a traditional Kukri, thats fine too. That blade style is perfect for "ZOMBIE work".
----

Above you see the Traditional Falcatta Sword. I am confident that the blade design of the Kukri came from this very sword, however, that is info that is truly lost to time and history. If you have one of these or can get one made, then you will have a tool that is perfectly made for removing the 'heads of the undeads'. Hahahaa.

As with ANY and ALL weapons, PRACTICE IS VERY IMPORTANT!! Practice, then practice, then as soon as you have tuned your body to have reflexive defense and offense with your weapons.....Practice MORE...then take a break, then practice again...and again...!! EVERY SINGLE SECOND you're NOT in the gym or Practicing your weapons or Martial Arts, someone else IS!! ALWAYS remember that.

Anyways...So there you have it, a few Zombie Tools...some for this, some for that...all for Zombies. I hope you like what you see...and remember, I can make you anything you see in a custom form, unless its a custom weapon that is already made by someone else. I will not copy anyone's work. Thanx and Enjoy.
Impact Weaponry

Hey ya'll...
Today we're gonna talk about impact weaponry. Impact weaponry is loosely
defined as any blunt object which can be used for defensive or
offensive purposes. Some examples might be a Crowbar, a Kubaton, a Mace
or Flail, Sledge Hammer, Baseball Bat, I could go on, but I think you
get the idea. In the realm of Impact Weapons, as any Zombie fan will
tell you, there is no limit. ;-)

So lets get into it...the reason you all come here...the weapons.

Above is a customized Flashlight...I believe it has Surefire parts in it...along with other customized parts you can buy from various sources like GG&G and TAD Gear.

Above you see a "Tactical Cane" made of Oak. There's a whole entire movement in the Martial Arts community based around cane fighting and using a cane as a Def and Offen weapon. Canes have been used in Martial Arts for a long time, almost as long as they have been around. Apparently someone decided to specialize them a bit more with some serrations and various grinds. Very cool.

Above you see an Old School Palm Sap. As we all know there are BlackJacks which have spring-loaded handles with lead impact castings(I make my own version currently), SAPs which are a leaf spring handled with a circular lead Disc casting, and so on. Most are covered by Leather or Paracord...and some of the higher end versions are covered in Kangaroo Leather. Roo Leather is more expensive because its imported and it is much more durable...that's the main reason the Aussies use it for their whips.

Above you see another Flashlight...a Gladius with a GG&G TID on the front. Pretty self explanatory.

Above you see a modern remake of the Flail. Some also call these a "Morning Star". I believe this one was made by Steven Licata. His work is great from what I have seen, and quite unique.

Above you see the classic pair of Brass Knuckles...not much more I can say. Ouch.

Anyways....I'm sure theres more for me to touch on in the Impact world...and I even make some really neat Impact Tools myself. So I will be touching on the Impact world again soon. If anyone has questions on these pics or ever wants me to make a custom version of any of the Old School examples of any of these items I post, just email me. I will be happy to make you something like what you see. I will however not copy any else's current works.
African and Tribal Weaponry....

Hi Everyone. Tis' I...Eric Draven, Weapon-smith blogger...and
Weapon-smith. Today we are gonna speak about African and Tribal
weaponry. You have likely seen some of these knives and edged weapons used
and tested on Deadliest Warrior, (which I personally think is an "OK"
show...at times, but the format, testing procedures, and weaponry need work...the
weapons could be made better, the 'experts' are lacking occasionally, etc.)
on the movie 'Prince of Persia: Sands of Time', and of course online. On
D.W. they did testing with the historic weapons of Shaka Zulu & his Zulu warriors, and they tested the weaponry of the Zande Warriors as well. In Price of
Persia, there was an African Gentleman named 'Seso' I believe, who was from a tribe called the
NgBaka...which is/was a real tribe. The various blades and throwing
knives the NgBaka character used in the move were fairly historically accurate from what info I can find online, which
was a surprise. Most of the time, movies take ALOT of "Creative License" with history and accuracy (and physics...Hahahaha!).

Below you see an example of one of the knives the NgBaka Character 'Seso' carried. I believe these were known as 'Bird Knives' cause the Head of the blade kinda looked like a birds head.

Seso also carried numerous other knives, one of which resembles the knife below. I have heard these called 'Hunga Munga', African Throwing Knives, and a couple other things. in the Zande Warrior episode of Deadliest Warrior they tested a Throwing Knife like this.

Below you will see a large display of African Knives, I'm not sure where it is located though. But I really do like the display. You see NUMEROUS types and style of blades and such. The one thing I have always loved about African weaponry is the unique look and style of them. You can only imagine the damage they could do if used properly.

Anyways, I hope you liked this post. If you want to see more of these types of arms, let me know. I have large databases of all types of weaponry from all around the world. Until next time....

Covert Arms of the OSS and SOE....

How-dee everyone. I promised to touch on the OSS/SOE side of Arms
from WWI and WWII and so I shall. Here it goes...There were SOOOOOOOOOO
many types of weaponry from those eras, it is hard to know where to
begin or when to limit myself. So we will go with edged weaponry because
that's what we know best at this moment.
(Below you see some OSS/SOE Tire Puncture devices, very cool. You also see some OSS pencils that had small triangle daggers in them. So cool.)

According to Wiki- The Office of Strategic Services (OSS) was a US Intel agency formed during WWII. It was the wartime intelligence agency, and it was a predecessor of the CIA. The OSS was formed in order to coordinate espionage activities behind enemy lines for the branches of the US Armed Forces. There were many detachments and many units within the US Army
that were under direct control of the OSS. Many of the activities that
they handled during wartime ops are classified and remain classified to
this day. These were the guys who did the 'dirty work' so that our
military had better intel and in some instances they gave their lives.
In the CIA Headquarters in Langley there is a wall with stars engraved
into it, one for each officer who has fallen in the line of duty.

Above you see an OSS Instructors Kit. They came with numerous examples of the types and styles of covert arms used by the spies and operators of the OSS and SOE. Some of my personal favs are the thumb daggers, the triangle daggers, and the coin blades.

Above you see the Peskett tool which is very very well know in the WWII OSS/SOE weaponry collector circles. It has a triangular spike, a garrote, a cosh or blackjack weighted ball, a handle,, and a wrist lanyard. It was bult witha seriosu purpose in mind, obviously. Then we have a WWII SOE Garrotte. SOme had handles like the one pictured m some had small balls on each end...I personally think it was based on concealability. the balls seem more compact and concealable. I have even seen OSS WWII garrottes sent to our boys over there that packaged in condoms. VERY Cool.

Anyways...I'm gonna wrap this blog post up. I can and will do more on this era of Arms soon. Email me and let me know if you want to see anything blogged about.

Eric Out.

Weapon-Smith Blog Begins!!

Hey Everyone, I am going to talk about Weaponry, Concepts, and Edge Combat in this blog. To start with I am going to talk about Renaissance Stilettos. As defined by Wikipedia: "A stiletto is a knife or dagger with a long slender blade and needle-like point, intended primarily as a stabbing weapon." Stilettos were used for a variety of purposes as were most edged weapons, but they were well known for the damage they inflicted and for being able to pierce armor of various types.

Many types of people carried them, Noblemen, Middle Class folks, Peasants, and of course Assassins. The Assassins that used Stilettos were sometimes reported to use versions with hollowed out tips or fullers near the tip of the blade so poison compounds could be utilized. Even women were known to carry them in various forms. A well known version is the 'Bodice Dagger' which could be carried in a variety of ways with a whole lot of fashions. There was also smaller versions that women could even conceal in their bust line for fending off men who were a bit too 'kind' with their 'affections'.

Modern Day versions of the Stiletto are still made and in use today. They were also issued in WWI and WWII to the OSS and SOE Spies that were fighting behind enemy lines. I will touch on the OSS/SOE groups of weaponry at some point soon because anyone who knows me, knows I LOVE that era of weaponry.

Thank you for reading my little Blog, I hope to continue to update it and talk about the subjects mentioned earlier.
